Refund Policy - All Programs

Refund Requests

All refund requests must be submitted using the WFSC Refund Request Form.  Refunds will only be considered effective the date the form is processed; there is no backdating requests.

The completed WFSC Refund Request Form and supporting documents may be dropped in the drop box on the WFSC office door at the McKinney Centre, emailed to secretarywfsc@outlook.com

 

No refunds or adjustments will be made due to holidays, illness, maintenance repairs, or ice cancellations.  Make up sessions are not available for skaters unavailable to make a skating session.

No refunds will be granted after sessions have begun.

All refunds will be added to the members account for future use unless the skater is leaving the Whitby Figure Skating Club, in which case a refund in the smae payment form will be issued. 

 

STARSkate

The following reasons will be considered for a refund:

  • Medical reasons; a doctor's note must be provided
  • Moves outside of the region
  • Any other reason will be considered at the discretion of the WFSC Executive Member(s)

Full Withdrawal From All WFSC Skating Sessions

For Fall/Winter sessions, if a STARSkate/Competitive Skater requests a refund from all Whitby Figure Skating Club sessions or the entire season before the first day of skating, a refund will be provided, less a $65.00 administration fee for the first session and then $30.00 for each subsequent session.

For Fall/Winter sessions, if a STARSkate Skater requests a refund from all Whitby Figure Skating Club sessions or the entire season after September 30th, the first $500.00 will not be refunded and all other sessions will be prorated. 

Refunds will be added to the members account for future use unless the skater is leaving the Whitby Figure Skating Club, in which case a cheque will be issued and available for pick-up from the WFSC Office during office hours.

Partial Withdrawal From WFSC Skating Sessions

For Fall/Winter sessions, if a STARSkate/Competitive Skater requests a refund for one or more session(s), but are still skating in other WFSC sessions, the refund will be accepted prior to the first day of skating for the session, less an Administration Fee of $30.00 per session. For Fall/Winter sessions, if the refund is requested after the first day of skating, the refund will be deducted both the prorated amount plus the Administration fee of $30.00 per session.

For Spring sessions, if a STARSkate/Competitive Skater requests a refund for one or more session(s), the refund will be accepted prior to the first day of skating for the session, less an Administration Fee of $20.00 per session.  For Spring sessions, if the refund is requested after the first day of skating, the refund will be deducted both the prorated amount plus the Administration fee of $20.00 per session.

 

Refund Policy for Recreational Programs

Includes Adult Skate, PreCanSkate, CanSkate, & Powerskating

The following reasons will be considered for a refund:

  • Medical reasons; a doctor's note must be provided
  • Moves outside of the region
  • Any other reason will be considered at the discretion of the WFSC Executive Member(s)

Refunds are accepted prior to the first day of skating, less a $65 Administration Fee.

**Please note that the $65 Skate Canada Insurance Fee is NON-REFUNDABLE**

If a refund is requested after the first day of skating, the prorated amount plus the Administration Fee and Skate Canada Insurance Fee will be deducted from the refund.
