Program assistants are a big part of the success of our Canskate Program!!Be on time, show enthusiasm and energy on the ice. Remember you are showcasing the skating potential and talents of the WFSC.

Program Assistant Responsibilities
- Copies of the schedule will be available at the arena and e-mailed.
- Dressing room #3 has been assigned to Program assistants for all Canskate sessions.
- Changes may occur so please check electronic board.
- Whitby amateur Coaching vest,WFSC Fleece Jacket/Sweatshirt or Whitby IceFyre Fleece is to be worn during the session. No jeans or pyjama lounge pants during your coaching session.
- Arrive 20 minutes before your amateur Coaching session is scheduled to begin.
- Check in with the Adminiskater in order to get credit for your coaching hours.
- Participate and skate among the Canskaters during the warm-up and cool-down.
- Keep the skaters moving and having fun.
- Show interest and enthusiasm while coaching; remember parents are not just looking at their child but the person teaching them.
- Coaches and Adminiskaters are nearby to assist, if you need help.
- Your minimum amateur coaching requirement to WFSC are: L2 - 15 hrs, L3 – 20 hrs,L4 – 25hrs.
- Additional hours can be used towards your High School or Grade 8 credit or as a credit towards your fees for next Winter Season.
- You are responsible for finding a replacement for your assigned sessions.
